Freezeout Trail Details

Depart Trout Brook Campground at the Park Tote Road north. After crossing Trout Brook, continue onward through the old fields, towards the woods, where the trail becomes an old graded road. Stay on the road for the next 5 miles, to the west end of Matagamon Lake. At mile 5.6, bear right at the fork in the road towards the more worn path. At mile 5.9, the trail takes a sharp left off the tote road and onto a woods trail. At mile 7.8 the trail rejoins the tote road. The trail junctions with Frost Pond Trail at mile 10.3, and at mile 12.2 the trail junctions with Wadleigh Brook Trail. Continue on through the Ice Wagon Field to the trail end at Webster Outlet Lean-to and Tentsite.
