Inspiration Point Details
Located between Bryce Point and Sunset Point, Inspiration Point offers views of the canyon from overlooks on three levels. You'll get a nice perspective on the Silent City hoodoos and Boat Mesa here, along with a look down onto the softer, top-level "White Member" of the Claron Formation -- the limestone that comprises most of Bryce Canyon. Bristlecone pines and other trees dot the landscape here; watch your footing as you move from viewpoint to viewpoint, as the rock that forms Inspiration Point is loose and slippery, and the cliff has sheer drop-offs. There are no trails leading into the canyon from Inspiration Point, but you can walk the Rim trail to Bryce Point or Sunset Point.
