Saint Mary Lake Overlook Details
Saint Mary Lake is the second largest lake in Glacier National Park. It's situated at 4,485-feet, and cold — unlike the park's largest lake, Lake McDonald, you won't see people swimming in it. The alpine lake is surrounded by mountain peaks that rise more than 4,000 feet. The Saint Mary Lake Overlook is west of the Wild Goose Island pullout. Little Chief Mountain towers above you at the lookout. It's a great spot to watch for wooden tour boats on the lake, or to catch the sunrise.
