Rising Sun is a very popular stop for Glacier National Park visitors. Located seven miles from the east entrance, this wayside area features a campground, a camp store, restaurant, motel and guest cabins, all managed by the park's concessionaire. There's also a boat dock nearby, as well as sightseeing boats that take visitors to Saint Mary Lake, the park's second largest body of water. Visitors who are interested in a hike can take the 6.3-mile hiking trail from Rising Sun to Otokomi Lake.
