Colter Bay Campground Details
Colter Bay Village has a marina, pool, playground, horseback riding, and more. There are 335 individual campsites and another 11 sites for large groups. Each site includes a picnic table and a fire pit and bathrooms with flush toilets are nearby. Showers and laundry facilities are also nearby. The maximum occupancy is two tents, two vehicles and six guests per site. The campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance reservations are taken for the group sites. Hikers and bicyclists (campers without vehicles) have a reduced site fee. Colter Bay Village is the only established campground that allows winter camping (in the visitor center parking lot). Open mid-May to mid-December. Current rates are: Campers with vehicles: $24 per night Golden Age or Golden Access Passports: $12 per night Group Tent Sites: $28 non-refundable booking fee, $7 per person per night Golden Age or Golden Access Passport: $3.50 per person per night Hikers/Bicyclists: $11 per person per night Golden Age or Golden Access Passport: $5.50 per person per night. Primitive winter camping is allowed in the plowed parking lot adjacent to the Colter Bay Visitor Center for $5 per night from Dec. 1 to April 15. Pay at the self-pay station by the restroom.
