Hemlock Trail
Aptly named for the softwood forest and small shady hemlock groves that envelop it.

Hemlock Trail Details
Over 100 years old, the trail was created as a part of the system of paths intended to connect downtown Bar Harbor to the then-developing National Park. The burned hollows of trees still show evidence of the 1947 forest fires, but the scenery is as tranquil as it must have been at its creation. This generally level trail is a major connector trail for loops up Dorr Mountain and includes junctions with Gorge Path and Kebo Mountain.
