Bridge Bay Details
Bridge Bay is a bay on the western side of Yellowstone Lake, just southwest of Lake Village. The bay was given its name in 1880 by superintendent Philetus W. Norris for the nearby Natural Bridge and a creek that had been named Bridge Creek. On the bay's western edge, a smaller bay serves as a Marina where concessioners operate tour boats, and the National Park Service bases several of its research and patrol vessels. The Bridge Bay Picnic Area is located on the eastern side of the road, located just north of the bridge. Tables: 23 Restrooms: 1* Fire Grates: 3 * Wheelchair Accessible. Every picnic area has tables, except for the 3 newest areas near Gibbon Falls, and most have vault toilets. You can use camping stoves and self-contained charcoal grills to prepare food at any picnic area. Fires are permitted only in picnic areas with fire grates. Only one picnic area - Madison - has water. Camping is not allowed in any picnic area. Special fire restrictions are occasionally put in place when the danger of wildland fires is great. If you plan to light a fire in the park, please ask about current fire restrictions at the entrance station when you arrive.
