Guided Fishing and Sightseeing Charters Details

Explore Yellowstone Lake with a licensed captain at the helm and the flexibility to tailor the trip to your interests. Whether you want to focus on fishing for native cutthroat trout and lake trout, cruise into remote corners of the lake for sightseeing, or combine both, this private charter offers a personalized experience on the water. Charters depart from Bridge Bay Marina aboard a 22 foot Grady White and are reserved in 2.5 hour blocks, with longer options available up to 12.5 hours. A minimum 2.5 hour booking is required. Each boat accommodates up to five people from your party only. Your captain provides rods and tackle, with up to three people fishing at one time depending on conditions. Techniques may include casting or trolling, with or without downriggers. Gas, life jackets, and fish cleaning upon request are included, though cleaning time counts toward your total charter time. Anyone age 16 or older who plans to fish must purchase a Yellowstone National Park fishing permit, available at Bridge Bay Marina or online through Recreation.gov. Permit fees are not included in the charter rate. Children 15 and younger may fish without a permit. Guests should bring a printed copy or screenshot of their permit, as cell service is limited at the marina. Pets and overnight rentals are not permitted. For the 2026 season, charters operate June 12 through August 3 from 7:45 am to 7:30 pm, with the last departure at 5:00 pm. From August 4 through September 14, hours run 8:45 am to 5:30 pm, with the last departure at 3:00 pm. The rate is 349.22 dollars per 2.5 hour block, including taxes and fees. Advanced reservations are strongly encouraged. Charters are not bookable online and must be reserved by calling 307-344-7311 between 7 am and 7 pm Mountain Time.
