Indian Creek Campground Details
Located about eight miles south of Mammoth Hot Springs along the road to Norris, Indian Creek Campground sits at 7,300 feet near the base of the Gallatin Mountains. With sweeping views of Electric Peak and easy access to hiking and fishing, it offers a quieter, more primitive camping experience set back from the main road. This reservable campground is operated by the National Park Service and all sites must be booked through Recreation.gov. Campsites are limited to six people, with a 10 am checkout time. Stays are limited to 14 days from July 1 through Labor Day and 30 days during the rest of the year. Amenities are basic. Vault toilets and potable water are available seasonally, and food storage lockers are provided. There are no showers, laundry facilities, dump station, camp store, ice, or firewood sales. Cell service and internet connectivity are not available. Trash collection is seasonal, and recycling is not collected at this campground. Wood and charcoal fires are generally permitted unless fire restrictions are in place, and propane stoves are typically allowed. Generators are not permitted at Indian Creek. The campground is closed from mid-September through mid-June each year, reopening for the summer season. Dates are subject to change.
