Kaibab National Forest Details
There are 3 major sections to the 1.6-million acre Kaibab National Forest, some of which has borders along the south and north rims of the Grand Canyon. Visitors to the forest can get a sense of the historic western heritage by riding a pack mule along some of the pack mule trails. Of course the Grand Canyon is an unmissable landmark, but there are lesser known regions to explore. Hikers can check out Sycamore Falls, along the Sycamore Rim Trail. There are some impressive man-made structures to visit as well, like the Stone and Steel Dams.
