Calypso Cascades Details
This pretty trail, named for the native Calypso orchid, a small, pink flower that blooms in mid-July, passes through a pretty river valley as it leads to the Calypso Cascades. After quickly passing Copeland Falls, the trail travels through a subalpine setting, keeping fairly close to the rushing waters of Cony Creek as it nears the Cascades. Surrounded by pines, aspen, and small mossy boulders, the falls surge through small granite chutes, falling in a long, 100-foot cascade that is best views from the log bridge crossing about halfway down the falls.
