Point Sal State Beach Details
With over 80-acres of land and 1.5-miles of coastline to explore, this state beach is one of the most beautiful sites of Santa Barbara County. The steep bluffs boast outstanding views over the ocean and surrounding ophiolite rocks. Keep an eye out for Lion Rock, a small island in the water which is usually covered in sunbathing sea lions. There are not any developed facilities in the park, although the serene landscape should be sufficient enough. Fishing and hiking are both possible, although swimming in the rough and somewhat dangerous waters is not recommended.
