This 262-acre state park is a great place to spend the day hiking. The most popular trail the Woods Hill Trail winds you through the tree-line forest to see the historic remains of the parks past. It is suitable for hiking, trail-running, and in the winter, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. There are still many existing structures that the Civilian Conservation Corps built in the mid-1930s. You can see a log picnic shelter and over a dozen stone fireplaces that have stood the test of time for almost 100 years. Although the park was used for camping in the 1960s, it is now only open for day-use visitors.
