Molly Stark State Park Details

You would not believe that this peaceful park is located right off the state highway. It encompasses 148-acres of wildflower fields, wavering grasslands, lush, wooded forests where you can enjoy a day out in nature. The park is known for a fire tower that sits on the top of Mount Olga, which boasts amazing views of the surrounding landscape. The park was named after Molly Start, the wife of the Revolutionary War hero, General John Stark. Although she did not fight in the war herself, she recruited many soldiers and even converted her own home into a hospital to care for the wounded.
