Kolomoki Mounds State Park Details

Kolomoki Mounds State Park consists of seven of eight Woodland period mounds located in the southeastern U.S. The earthwork mounds are the oldest and largest dating back to 350-750 A.D. with the tallest structure being a temple mound that rises to 57 feet. Along with it are two burial mounds surrounded by ceremonial mounds. The park visitor center sits around one of the hill excavation sites to give visitors a unique perspective on how the early natives lived.
