Overlooking the Collegiate Peaks and along the South Platte River, Spinney Mountain is a day-use-only park that offers incredible bird watching and hunting. You can fish for cutthroat and brown trout. There are 220 species of birds here. Water enthusiasts can enjoy boating, and sailing, but swimming and water skiing are not allowed here. There aren't any opportunities to camp in the park, and it is only open from April 15 through November 15.
