In the Yampa Valley, overlooking the Flat Top Mountains, Stagecoach State Park offers an array of outdoor activities to choose from. You can fish on the lake which is home to both rainbow and brown trout. There are over two hundred kinds of birds here, including white pelicans and sharp-tailed grouse. You can hunt for waterfowl here, as well as hike along the eight miles of trails. Biking and horseback riding are also allowed. Water enthusiasts can boat, water ski and sail up the shoreline and stop by the full-service marina. There are 92 sites at four campgrounds, and allow for winter camping as well.
