Twin Geysers Details
One of the major geysers in the West Thumb Geyser Basin, this unique, duel-vented feature experiences eruptions lasting 3 to 4 minutes, and measuring over 75 feet in height. Nicknamed Maggie and Jiggs after an early 20th century cartoon characters, the two vents erupt in succession, beginning with the north vent. Eruptions occur approximately every 6 hours, and the geyser pools bubble at temperatures over 200 F during dormant periods.
