Fore River Parkway Details

The Fore River Parkway is a pleasant 2.6-mile trail connecting Portland's transportation stations and West Commercial Street. Flat and paved in gravel, the Fore River Parkway is popular as a safe route connecting multiple popular locations, including the hospital and Danforth Street. Running past its namesake, the route has multiple scenic views and also offers access to the Mercy's Pond Loop Trail near the hospital. Walkers and bikers should be aware that the trail extension is still in the works and does end abruptly, so use caution towards the end so as not to run into unsuspecting traversers.
