Located in Freeport, the 86 acres of Bliss Woods became a conservation effort once it was realized that rapid development of the area caused disappearing recreational woodland. Filled with red oak, white pine, and red spruce, the mile loop trail here takes guests on an easy hike through the dense wood. Being only a mile and a half from the Harraseeket River and Casco Bay, the forest floor is extremely wet, mossy, and green.
