A scenic 1.2-mile trail leading to the Cousins River shores, the Cousins River Trail is an easy hike and welcomes guests. Mostly passing through woods with some marshy forested areas, the trail is well marked, with a couple of hills, and equipped with boardwalks that pass over the muddier spots. The path meets up to the water's shores right before it joins with the Royal River and empties out into Casco Bay. Due to its waterways, the area is abundant in wildlife, especially birds.
