Walter's Wiggles Details
Created by and named for the first superintendent of Zion National Park, this "hilarious" section of switchbacks was designed to allow horses to reach Cabin Spring, a small spring and former NPS post at the top of Scout Lookout. The "Wiggles" consist of 21 sharp zig-zags from the floor of the Refrigerator Canyon, and can prove very difficult for even the most experienced hikers. The views along the trail, however, are spectacular, especially from Scout Lookout, from which there are impressive views into Zion Canyon.
