Watchman Trail Details

Yielding a classic sampling of Zion National Park scenery, this popular trail winds in and out of the foothills below Bridge Mountain before reaching a viewpoint overlooking the majestic 6,545-foot Watchman Spire. Using a number of small switchbacks through sandstone formations, groves of pinon pines, and patches of prickly pear cactus, the sunny, well-maintained trail ascends nearly 500 feet while allowing good views of the nearby landmarks, including the Beehives, Towers of the Virgin, and the Altar of Sacrifice.
