Deep Creek Loop Details

One of the first trails build by the Civilian Conservation Corps, this popular, and easily accessible trail visits both Toms Branch Falls and Indian Creek Falls. Best visited after periods of lots of rain, the trail provides plenty of places to view the falls, and is generally a very easy, level trail, with the exception of the steeper sections near the 420-foot Sunkota Ridge. The trail that winds in and out of hardwood and hemlock forests is also a popular wildflower hike in the springtime, when the trillium, violets, and Solomon's seal are blooming.
