Cove Hardwoods Nature Trail Details

This short trail is a great introduction to the flora and fauna of the park. Leaving the picturesque picnic areas at the trailhead, the well-maintained trail journeys through the giant trees of the old forest into the new forest, which is making its comeback after years of abuse by the logging industry. Although there are a few small gently hills, the trail makes for very easy walking. There are guides available at the trailhead that help to identify some of the many species of wildflowers and trees along the trail.
