North Rim Campground Details
Located on the quieter North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, North Rim Campground offers a cool, forested setting at an elevation of about 8,200 feet. Surrounded by ponderosa pine and aspen, the campground provides a peaceful base just a short distance from Bright Angel Point and the North Rim Lodge. Campsites accommodate tents and RVs, with select sites suitable for larger rigs. Amenities include restrooms with flush toilets, potable water, picnic tables, and fire rings. There are no hookups at individual sites. The campground is typically open seasonally from mid May through mid October, weather permitting. With fewer crowds and a more remote feel than the South Rim, North Rim Campground is ideal for visitors seeking a quieter Grand Canyon experience with easy access to rim views, scenic drives, and hiking trails. NOTE: North Rim Campground reservations for the 2026 season will not be released at this time. Further damage assessments from the Dragon Bravo Fire this past summer must be conducted to determine if the campground will reopen for 2026.
