Lake Agnes Details

Perhaps because it's framed by a quaint, European-style tea house (open seasonally), the Lake Agnes hike is considered to be the 'most civilized' way to see the Canadian Rockies. The well-maintained trail leads to a tarn tucked below soaring peaks. For a longer hike, add a side trip to the Big Beehive: 3.2 kilometers (2 miles) roundtrip and a 135-meter (443-foot) elevation gain from Lake Agnes; or, Little Beehive: 2 kilometers (1.24 mile) roundtrip and a 105-meter elevation gain from Lake Agnes. The trailhead for this hike is found within the Upper Lake Louise parking area, 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from the Village of Lake Louise.
