Sunset Lookout Details

Another of Banff National Park's old fire tower locations, it's no wonder there are terrific views from the Sunset Lookout trail. For even better views, take the 1.6 kilometer (1 mile) branch off the trail to take in the nearly-vertical view of the confluence of the Alexandra and North Saskatchewan rivers below. The trailhead for this hike is off of Highway 93 North, 16.5 kilometers (10.25 miles) north of the Saskatchewan Crossing.
