Twin Lakes Details
Just as on the hike to Arnica Lake, you may feel like you're losing ground before gaining again. This time, the trail loses the same elevation as to Arnica Lake (120 meters, 394 feet) before gaining again (715 meters, 2,346 feet) along the way. You'll be hiking under a canopy of larch trees and along the Continental Divide to both Arnica and Twin Lakes, so it's worth the climb. The trailhead for this hike is at the Vista Lake Viewpoint off of the right side of Highway 93 South, 8 kilometers (5 miles) southwest of Castle Junction.
