Low Wray Campsite Details
There are four campsites run by the National Trust: Great Langdale, Low Wray, Wasdale and Hoathwaite. On the west shore of Lake Windermere, the Low Wray Campsite offers waterfront, lake view, woodland and meadow campsites. There's a shop, toilet and shower blocks, laundry facilities, dishwashing area, playground, bike rental and a restaurant serving wood-fired pizza and barbecue. There are 120 reserve-able tent sites and 10 available on a first-come-first-served basis, nine sites for motorhomes (none with electric hookups), and three permanent pods, which feature a tent-like experience but with a solid structure. Those staying in pods should still bring all their camping supplies, except for the tent. There are also two safari tents available for rent, each fully furnished and with a wood-burning stove, although guests should bring their own bedding and towels.
