Great Langdale Campsite Details

There are four campsites run by the National Trust: Great Langdale, Low Wray, Wasdale and Hoathwaite. In the central Lakes, Great Langdale is west of Ambleside at the head of the Great Langdale Valley. Onsite amenities include a shop, toilet and shower blocks, dishwashing areas, laundry facilities, a bouldering wall, children's play area, orienteering course and bike rental. There are 140 bookable sites for tent camping and 35 offered on a first-come-first-served basis; six sites for motorhomes with electric hookups, and seven permanent pod structures, which offer a similar experience to tent camping, but inside a permanent structure. Pods feature a window and lockable doors, as well as heat and electricity. Guests should still bring everything they would if camping in a tent, sleeping pads, sleeping bags etc.
