Fell End Camping Barn Details
A stone barn offering simple overnight shelter for walkers and cyclists. The barns are roomy and offer a wooden sleeping platform, table, cooking bench, cold tap and toilet, a bucket and bowls, and clothes hooks and trash bags. The Fell End Camping Barn is a traditional 18th-century Lakeland stone barn, situated within its own grassy courtyard approximately 1/2 mile from the farm. The barn is six miles from Coniston and five miles from the Duddon Valley, and offers beautiful views towards the Coniston and Langdale Fells, down to the Duddon Estuary. There's no electricity in the barn - the interior is lit by chandeliers and tea lights (provided) — so visitors should bring headlamps and gas lamps. The barn sleeps 12 and there's a wash basin and toilet inside as well. There’s a wood burning stove and two picnic-style tables for eating. If you prefer to cook out, campfires are allowed and wood is available from the farm. No pets are allowed at Fell End. Check in is after 4 p.m. and checkout is 10 a.m. Group bookings at the camping barns within the Lake District are welcome, and they offer a capacity of between eight and 18 people. The barns cost £10.00 ($14.50) per person per night, and you can book at [http://www.lakelandcampingbarns.co.uk/](http://www.lakelandcampingbarns.co.uk/).
