The Ross Lake Resort features charming furnished cabins and bunkhouses on the shores of Ross Lake. The resort, which dates back to the 1950s, is actually a renovated logging camp designed to float on the lake surface and adapt to the lake's ever-changing water levels. The resort is open from mid-June to November; reservations are strongly recommended. Guests are instructed to bring their own food since there are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby. A gateway to Ross Lake's many recreational opportunities, the resort also offers boat and equipment rentals as well as information about fishing, hiking, and boating. There is a small store here selling with sundries, souvenirs, and snacks. The resort is not accessible by road, but the Diablo Lake Ferry will take you from Diablo Dam to a haul road across the lake from the resort, where you can catch a boat across.
