Ross Lake Overlook Details
The Ross Lake Overlook faces north toward the U.S.-Canadian border, across the expanse of the 22-mile, emerald-colored lake. On clear days, the steep slopes of Mount Hozomeen, Mt. Prophet, Jack and Little Jack Mountains can be seen rising up from the lake's heavily forested shores. The overlook is much smaller than others in the area, but the view can be taken in without having to leave your car as you explore the North Cascades Scenic Highway. The pullout is at mile 135 on State Route 20.
