Beaver Island Campground Details

Located on Beaver Island, just at the mouth of Washington Harbor, this small campground has three shelters (three-sided sleeping structure, in place of a tent, for groups of six and under), but no individual tent sites or group sites. These shelters are first come first served. There is a dock here, for overnight use, so you can access the campground via powerboat, sail boat, canoe or kayak. The depth of water at the dock, during normal conditions is two to five feet. Use of on-board generators is permitted. You will have access to an outhouse and potable water here. No open fires permitted-- self-contained cooking stoves only. You do have to obtain an overnight permit, and pay the daily $4 per person per day park-use fee, all of which can be done in advance or in person. Maximum consecutive stay from June through Labor Day is three days. Follow Leave No Trace principles and carry out all waste.
