Vaiava Strait Natural Landmark Details

Vai'ava Strait is a lesser known strait located in the park. It is a great example of cliffs formed by wave erosion on volcanic rock. It was named a National Natural Landmark in 1972. The strait separates Pola island from the mainland of Tutuila.
