Mount Alava Adventure Trail Details

The Mount Alava Adventure Trail is a challenging loop that takes hikers along ridgelines that offer views of the north and and the central parts of the park and island. Like many of the other trails in the park, the adventure trail has ladders and ropes to help hikers get up the steeper parts of the trail. The trail leads to the Mt. Alava summit and returns down another steep section of trail to the village of Vatia. Loop back along the road to get to the trailhead. The trail starts across the road from the national park faleo'o and trailhead for the Lower Sauma Ridge Trail.
