Dagger Flat Auto Trail Details

The perfect way to experience the desert if you don't want to leave your car. The Daggar Flat Auto Trail is a 7-mile improved dirt road which, under dry conditions, should be passable by any vehicle. The road leads to a small forest of giant dagger yuccas which can reach heights of small trees. In late spring, their beautiful (and giant) cream colored flowers shoot out of the top. Each bloom can weigh up to 70 pounds! This road is great for mountain biking as well, especially if you are a beginner. You can access the Daggar Flat Auto Trail about 12 miles south of the Persimmon Gap Visitor Center. The turnoff for the road will be on your left.
