The Pinery Trail Details

This 0.75 mile paved trail takes you to the remains of the original Pinery station of the Butterfield Overland Mail Route, one of the original railway mail carriers in the country. Interpretive stops along the way provide information about desert plant and animal life. The trail is easy, and wheelchair accessible. Park at the Pine Springs Visitor Center parking lot, off of the main park entrance road off of Highway 180/62, and start from the trailhead next to the visitor center.
