Turnhole Bend Nature Trail Details
The Turnhole Bend Nature Trail is located on Brownsville Road just east of the junction with Cedar Sink Road. Park at the trailhead and follow the trail .5 miles to Turnhole Spring. Turnhole Spring feeds into the Green River at large bend. This bend is where the spring and river meet and, because of its width, used to be turn-around spot for river boats, thus earning the name "Turnhole". Enjoy the view of the river form the bluffs and the various rock outcroppings along the trail. There is a backcountry trail, Turnhole Trail and campsite on other side of the river too, but the only access to the campsite and trail is via Ferry Road on the other side of the road.
