Old Bunsen Peak Road Trail Details
Providing a popular descent from Bunsen Peak, this relatively level service road passes through the foothills, sagebrush meadows, and growing forest on the southern side of the mountain. Occasionally offering some goof overlooks of the Gardner River and Sheepeater Canyon, the road doubles as a maintenance road for park employees, skirting the summit and connecting the Youth Conservation Corp Camp with the Golden Gate. Watch for cyclists, as this trail is open to and very popular among cyclists.
