Named for the first official photographer of Yellowstone National Park, Mount Haynes remains a favorite photo stop for travelers accessing the park from its west entrance. The 8,218-foot peak looms above the Madison River, and there's a Mount Haynes Overlook off the west entrance road about 3.5 miles west of Madison Junction.
