The Great Fountain Geyser is the only predicted geyser in the Lower Geyser Basin, erupting once every 9 to 15 hours. Park staff can generally predict within an hour or two when the geyser will erupt. If you time it right you're in for a spectacular site, as the geyser throws water 75 to 220 feet in the air.
