Taggart Lake Details
Taggart Lake trail crosses sagebrush flats and forests, the habitat of various birds and wildlife. Enjoy the views of the Teton Range as you follow this easy, direct path to the lake, crossing a footbridge over Taggart Creek and the park's corral along the way. Sections of forest cleared by wildfires have now become magnets for wildlife. When you reach the lake you'll enjoy the reflection of snow-capped mountains over the 305-acre glacially fed waters. You can also connect to the Bradley Lake Trail on this hike, or extend your walk by half a mile by using the Beaver Creek Trail to return to the trailhead rather than returning the way you came. The trail starts at the Taggart Lake Trailhead, 2.3 miles north of the Moose Entrance Station on Teton Park Road.
