Lake Crescent Details
This deep glacial lake in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains has an interesting natural history: a landslide that occurred 7,000 years ago separated Lake Crescent from present-day Lake Sutherland, and two distinct populations of lake trout evolved as a result. By the shore you'll find a campground, two resorts, picnic areas, and hiking trails, and you can rent rowboats, kayak, or sail on the lake.
