Goblin's Gate Details

The Elwha River narrows to a 20-foot wide gorge known as the Goblin's Gate just before it reaches Rica Canyon. Early explorers thought the channel resembled the mouth of a monster sucking the river water downstream. You can see Goblin's Gate by hiking the Geyser Valley Trail.
