Elwha Valley Details

The Elwha Valley is the largest watershed in rainy Olympic National Park and the focus of one of the U.S. Park Service's biggest ecosystem restoration projects -- the removal of two dams on the Elwha River that blocked the migration and spawning of salmon and other native fish. You can join a whitewater rafting or kayak trip on the river, hike or tour the valley by car, and stay the night at your choice of two campgrounds.
