Gorge Creek Falls Details

Gorge Creek Falls is one of North Cascade National Parks most easily accessed but still spectacular waterfalls; it's located on State Route 20, near milepost 123. The 242-foot, two-tiered falls are a popular stop on the North Cascades Scenic Highway, and the rushing, plummeting waters are a wonderful reminder of the area's untamed wilderness and natural beauty. The falls are most magnificent in the early spring, when glacial runoff adds volume to the cascade. Despite the overlook's distance from the falls, visitors will often find themselves caught up in the dramatic views and misty environment. Visitors can get a great look at the falls from the bridge on Route 20, and there is a short paved trail from the parking lot to a point overlooking the nearby Gorge Dam. Accessible pit toilets and parking are available.
