Diablo Lake Overlook Details
The Diablo Lake Overlook, near milepost 132, faces southwest over the dark turquoise expanse of Diablo Lake, rows of forested foothills, and ice-capped, jagged peaks. The wide, spectacular vista showcases the untouched wilderness of the North Cascades, and on clear days you can take in impressive views of Colonial, Snowfield, Pyramid, Jack, and Davis Peaks, and the densely forested valleys that cut narrowly between them. The accessible viewing platform is enhanced with a series of informational plaques and a geology exhibit that help illustrate the area's extensive natural history and identify many of the natural features visible from the overlook. Accessible restrooms are located near the parking area. The overlook is open year-round, and is equally breathtaking in the summer and winter.
