Ohanapecosh Campground Details
The Ohanapecosh Campground, located at 1,914 feet in the southeast section of the park, is crisscrossed by two streams and the crystal-clear Ohanapecosh River, which provide refreshing spots to cool off in the summer months. It has 188 individual campsites and two group sites tucked away among the large Douglas firs and hemlocks; there's also a picnic area here. Catch a ranger presentation each evening in the summertime in the large amphitheater, and stop at the visitor center at the campground entrance to see wildlife displays and learn about the park. Rangers are on hand to answer questions, and a small gift shop has useful books and a selection of souvenirs. The Ohanapecosh Campground has wheelchair-accessible campsites (two available to Golden Access Card holders) and restrooms in Loop D, and limited accessibility restrooms at the summer-only Ohanapecosh Visitor Center. Amenities include running water, flush toilets, fire grates, and a dump station. The site can accommodate RVs up to 32 feet, or vehicles with trailers up to 27 feet. None of the campgrounds in the park have electric hookups for RVs. The campground is typically open late May through late September, depending on the weather and road conditions. Fees are $20 for individual sites, or $60 for group sites.
